Dahon was founded with the singular purpose of convincing more people to use environmentally sustainable forms of transport. To accomplish this goal, they focused on creating innovative but reasonably priced folding bicycles. Back in 1982, they started a revolution with their first pioneering folding bicycle. That revolution is now changing the way people around the world move themselves from point A to point B. Dahon have their headquarters in Los Angeles, California and their bicycles are assembled in factories that are located in Taiwan, Macau, the Czech Republic and China with parts sourced from the leading component manufacturers from around the world. The UK Dahon’s come from factories in Taiwan and Macau only. The bikes are sold in over 30 countries. Dahon are proud to say that a majority of their 700+ worldwide employees travel to work by bicycle, public transport, or a combination of both.
Dahon folding bikes are available in a variety of Wheel sizes, we have divided these up for ease into 16” wheel, 20” wheel, 24” wheel and 26” wheel models.

All Folding Bikes are thoroughly prepared and checked in the workshop (unless we state otherwise on Sale models) in order to validate the warranties, this involves a thorough setup and adjustment of spokes, bearings, brakes, gears (stops and cable adjustment). The chainset and crank, handlebars and all nuts and bolts are checked for tightness and the pedals fitted. Finally the tyre pressures are set and the folding joints and all quick releases are lubricated and adjusted. After a brief test ride (mainly indoor) they are then carefully packed back into the original boxes using appropriate packaging, this means that the bikes when received and unfolded are ‘ready to ride’ . All 26” wheel Dahon bikes arrive in the UK in boxes with the frame unfolded but the bike partially dismantled. We have taken the decision that in order to properly achieve our highest aim and that of the responsible manufacturers with whom we liase, that we therefore, properly prepare then fold the completed bike with only the handlebar removed, it is therefore necessary for us to repackage the bike accordingly on account of it’s larger size when assembled.
