The Speed D7 combines sporty performance with terrific value. Year after year it remains one of Dahon’s most popular bikes because of this. The Vitesse D7HG is for those who are looking for a great bike for urban commuting at a good value. Dahon took their award-winning Vitesse D7, added an internal gear hub and tried and true components from top component suppliers. Then they topped it off with mudguards, and even a trouser saving chainguard so you can ride in any weather. What happens when you take the award-winning Ciao! frame platform, fit it with Dahon’s Deluxe component package, and add a custom made-for-Dahon five-speed hub? You get an economical Ciao! that is priced to move. The Ciao! D5 features a super low-step frame that is perfect for riders new to cycling or those with injuries that can’t ride a bike with a high top tube. The custom Sturmey-Archer five-speed hub delivers the same gear range as a Nexus 7, but without the cost or weight. Fitted with optional rack and mudguards, it becomes the perfect town bike.

The Mu P7 is very similar to last year’s Mu XL, but with a few discriminating component changes to reach a lower price point. With a low maintenance Shimano Nexus gear hub, and optional mudguards, racks and dynamo lighting, the Mu P7 has just about everything a rider needs for urban commuting. They started with a Mu SL and added the smoothest hub on the market today, the Shimano Alfine. Next they added a Dahon Andros stem, a quick release stem that lets riders adjust the handlebar height and reach so every rider gets a perfect, dialed in position. Finally, Dahon added some worthy urban components like Kevlar lined Schwalbe Marathon tyres and the BioLogic FreeDrive to keep clothes clean from grease. Mission accomplished.

The Mu SL is one of the lightest bikes in Dahon’s range. It incorporates just about everything they know about making an ultra-light and fast-folding bike for all-around use. For riders who spend a lot of time folding and carrying their bikes, the wonderfully light weight is a joy that’s sure to bring a smile. But they didn’t sacrifice performance and comfort for the sake of light weight. The Jetstream EX is quite possibly the most technologically advanced folding bike on the planet with its suspension system having been engineered with one of the cycling world’s foremost authorities on suspension. All Folding Bikes are thoroughly prepared and checked in the workshop (unless we state otherwise on Sale models) in order to validate the warranties, this involves a thorough setup and adjustment of spokes, bearings, brakes, gears (stops and cable adjustment). The chainset and crank, handlebars and all nuts and bolts are checked for tightness and the pedals fitted. Finally the tyre pressures are set and the folding joints and all quick releases are lubricated and adjusted. After a brief test ride (mainly indoor) they are then carefully packed back into the original boxes using appropriate packaging, this means that the bikes when received and unfolded are ‘ready to ride’ .  All 26” wheel Dahon bikes arrive in the UK in boxes with the frame unfolded but the bike partially dismantled. We have taken the decision that in order to properly achieve our highest aim and that of the responsible manufacturers with whom we liase, that we therefore, properly prepare then fold the completed bike with only the handlebar removed, it is therefore necessary for us to repackage the bike accordingly on account of it’s larger size when assembled.
